Solviks camping is located in the heart of Bohuslän, a landscape with beautiful coast and a unique archipelago. Take the opportunity to visit some of the small island communities close to Solvik - Smögen, Kungshamn or Hunnebostrand. Week 27 is the ultimate week for those who want full speed all day, it is a week long party in Sotenäs.
Excursions
Ocean House, Nordens Ark, Vitlycke Museum, The Nordic Watercolour Museum are all very interesting excursions near Solvik. You can also ride the trains with steam locomotives from Munkedal or visit the beautiful little island Hållö outside Kungshamn.

Solvik works together with the fishing tourism in Smögen and arranges several different kinds of boat trips. All of our trips starts at Solviks own bridge just by our bathing place. If you go on a fishing trip and catch loads of fish, you can use our big freezer to store your catch until you leave

Other information
Life jackets are available on board. The boat is equipped with sun/rain protection, but please do bring suitable clothing for the day.
If it should be really bad weather, hard wind and rain, the skipper decides whether to head out to sea or not. If the tour is cancelled a reimbursement will be made.

Adults 400 SEK, children under the age of 13 pay 200 SEK in company with a guardian (discount limit, 2 children per guardian).

Smögen - The Smögenbridge
The 1000 metres (3280 feet) long wooden Smögenbridge in the harbour of Smögen offers you the true feeling of Bohuslän. With all of its shops, cafés and restaurants it is really worth a visit.
Just next to the Smögenbridge you can witness the catch of the day being auctioned out on the fish-market, it’s an experience in itself! When your legs feel tired you can buy the world-famous Smögen-shrimps, just fresh out of the ocean, or some other delicacy from the ocean.

In Kungshamn
there is a large amount of little shops, Post office, Bank and not to forget the Systembolaget. From the harbour of Kungshamn there are boats going out to Smögen and Hållö. www.kungshamn.com

Stenhuggarmuseet in Hunnebostrand
Cutting stone was the most important industry in Sotenäs during a whole century. What it looked like and what was produced is shown in an old quarry. If you are interested in history you should visit the museum.

Nordens Ark
If you are interested in the wild-life animals – this is the place! Here you will find many of the worlds extirpate-threatened animals in a large nature park. Come along on a guided tour and see among others panda, wolfs and snow-leopard. After this experience you can enjoy a meal or coffee in a house from the early 18th century. For the kids, there is also a great barn where you can pet, feed and milk cows, pigs, chickens and other tame animals.

Vitlycke museum
The rock carvings in Tanumshede are from Bronze Age and they are on the UNESCO’s list of world heritage since 1994. A visit in the newly built museum will, among other things, show you how life was in the Bronze Age .

In Lysekil you can learn a lot about the life below the sea-level by visiting the “house of the ocean”.
